Hi, I'm Kevin.
Carpenter and plasterer behind KGW. I've been on the tools since 2012, across renovations, commercial fit-outs and repairs throughout Toowoomba and South East Queensland. Most of those years were spent working for other builders. KGW is my own business, so when you ring, you get the tradie who's coming to do the work.
What makes me different
Most tradies stick to one trade. I do two, properly. Framing and plastering handled by the same person, from start to finish, no handovers, no miscommunication.

How I work
I take on a small number of jobs and work through them properly. 2026 is fully booked, and I'm now taking enquiries for 2027 on larger projects. I still fit in small carpentry, plastering and repair jobs most weeks. Either way, you'll hear back from me within 1 business day, and I'll be upfront about timing from the start.

How much does a carpenter or plasterer cost in Toowoomba?
We sell outcomes, not hours. Every job is priced as a single fixed quote, so you know the total before we start. Small repairs can usually be estimated over the phone or from a photo. Larger projects need a quick site visit ($99, credited toward the total if you proceed) so the quote covers everything the job actually needs.

Yes. Kevin holds qualifications in both trades and is QBCC licensed (#15552933).

Do you take on small jobs?
Yes, patch repairs, single-room ceiling fixes, door rehangs, and minor carpentry are all welcome. KGW is built for jobs too complex for a handyman, and too small for a full builder.
How long does a ceiling re-sheet take?
A typical single room ceiling rip down and re-sheet takes 1–2 days, including stripping the old sheets, fixing and setting the new plasterboard, followed by sanding ready for paint. Larger areas are quoted with a site visit.
Do you use subcontractors?
No. Kevin handles every job from quote to completion. The same person who quoted you is the one on the tools, no apprentice handovers, no trade coordination delays.
