How much does a timber deck cost in Toowoomba?
Deck pricing depends on size, height, choice of timber, and whether stairs or balustrades are needed. A standard 3x4m treated pine deck at low height starts in the low five figures including materials. Hardwood and modified timber decks cost more. We always quote in writing after a $99 site visit.
Can you repair an existing deck?
Yes. Replacing rotten boards, fixing wobbly handrails, replacing bearers and joists, and re-fixing loose decking are all common jobs. We assess and quote per scope.
Do you build fences and gates?
Yes. Timber fence builds and repairs, gate fabrication and rehangs, and privacy screens. From a single broken gate latch to a full boundary line.
Do I need council approval?
Sometimes, depending on height and size. We check on your specific job up front and tell you what's needed before you commit.
What timber should I use?
Treated pine is most cost-effective. Australian hardwoods (spotted gum, ironbark, merbau) cost more but last longer. Modified timber (Accoya, thermally treated) is a premium option with excellent stability in Toowoomba's hot/cold cycles. We talk through trade-offs at quote stage.
